Underground Metal

Is it hitting the main stream?

The underground metal scene is becoming big business within leeds with bands coming from all over to perform at the infamous Cockpit, opening music fans eyes to these unknown but quality home-grown metal maniacs.

Goodbye For Now a Leeds based band are one of these who are on the rise in popularity. With their Emo alternative metal they are steadily gaining a solid fan base not just at home but around the country playing as far as Newcastle to ever growing audience sizes.

By day they are students and supermarket workers, by night they are a hardcore set of friends doing what they do best.
Bob Howe is a key member of the band providing that heavy head banging thump of bass to the songs, and i guess you could say band driver ferrying all the equipment back and forth between gigs and home.

Goodbye for Now bass player Bob Howe.

When you see the effort Goodbye for Now and other underground bands put into their work and performances its hard to come to terms with the fact that they are still unsigned.

A band with 2 albums under their belt and a 3rd on the way you could say they have the ability to run with the wolves in the music business.
But the question is, how much longer do they have to wait until they are recognized and brought into the lime-light?
